Ken Slater’s FURR debut last Saturday night – husbear and I couldn’t seem to drag ourselves out of the house (I know, I know) – but for all the bears and cubs who can stay up past 9 o’ clock – a great time was had by all. So who on the furry butt contest?
The next FURR party is March 6th!

We love hearing from you guys!
Ciao ! I’m a 32 yo stocky hairy Italian bear.
I was looking through your website and I’d like to make my compliments to you (all, I don’t know how many people work on it). Nice stuff, a lot of infos.
I embrace fully the bear way of life: freedom, acceptance, good food (with my bf we opened a restaurant
) and good company. Of course nice big hairy bodies too
I hope to come back to San Francisco soon, I’d love to spend some days there.
Hairy Hugs from Italy

JOE MANNETTI sent this along –
Excellent interview with my friend and Mr. International Bear 2009 title holder John David Elam. He raised the bar for all of us with his vision of what a title holder should be and with his dedication to supporting community and diversity.

James Monroe Iglehart isn’t a name you might know – yet.
The big, bearish man who grew up in the Bay Area is drawing critical attention with his Broadway role as Bobby in the great musical “Memphis.”
From the moment you hear Iglehart’s voice, you know he’s a big talent. And then, by the time you get to his show stopping “Big Love” number in the second act, you’re likely to be a big fan.
We sat down with Iglehart before one of his performances in “Memphis” and learned more about his time in Hayward, CA, the fact that no one in the cast had missed any of their eight (sometimes nine) performances each week and how Iglehart has a whole slew of big gay bear fans and what Iglehart thinks of their admiration.
In our chat with Iglehart, we also ask how he can move every inch of his body in his “Big Love” number and why he isn’t the size of Neil Patrick Harris with all of that shaking going on.
On a serious side, we explore with Iglehart why “Memphis” isn’t selling out every performance. Is it because too many people think it’s the story of Elvis or perhaps a sequel to the movie “Nashville” instead of the pop/rock show it actually is.
