Melamine often is used in kitchen utensils and plates (such as Melmac) and is quite durable. These plates are the perfect choice for poolside and outdoor entertaining - they are shatterproof, chip resistant and dishwasher safe - hell, they might even survive your bear friends.

As with most plastic dishes, keep them out of the microwave.

OK, we have Ggreg Taylor to thank for this one.  Mr Taylor used to work several doors down from The Complete Bear - but he has moved on . . .  How will we ever stay in the know without his worldy insights?

One day, Mr Taylor stopped by all giggley and said "You must try this!"

He promptly turned the adorable cub over and offered me a probe.  I was reluctant at first - but you know - a good willing probe is hard to resist - so . . .

Recently, husbear and I were up in Tahoe - and you know I was sniffing around for a cute little bear!!  Oh, get you minds out of the gutter - LOL

The kilt - an ancient and noble garment is a remnant of the early Celtic race of Caledonia.  When kilts were first made they were very basic in design, basically consisting of a large plaid piece of material about 2 yards wide, and 4 - 6 yards long.

The kilt had many advantages - it provided easy movement, while warm enough to keep the harsh highland cold weather at bay.  The word kilt is a Scottish word meaning to tuck up the clothes around the body or can also mean pleated.

Our kilts have taken the historic garment and added a contemporary flare.  Made of a light weight material with leather accents - these kilts are attractive, comfortable and have a fully functioning leather pouch.

Summer is for trashy novels.  You know the kind your mom used to keep buried in the nightstand. Well, this isn’t your mom’s Jackie Collins novel!!  Here’s to a little one handed reading this summer.    

Combing the love of detective fiction with kink is a pretty tricky balancing act, but Markus Larsen does just that with "The Sex Club Murders." It's just the first story in this hot and clever set of hard-handed reading. From there, you'll run the gamut from "Surviving Master's Hell" to "The Purification."

Markus Larsen, the kinky cub has been in the leather community close to three decades. He is a co-founder of the nations premiere Leather Boys Clubs and is a member of organizations as diverse as Mystery Writers of America and the Chicago Hellfire Club.

The debut collection of stories from Markus Larsen contains some really creative kink. He mixes a fondness for Mystery Lit with his SM, making the title track one of the more interesting fetish stories to hit the racks for some time. Oddly enough, it's also the story with the least amount of bump-n-grind. It's followed by "Dick Strong and the Case of The Missing Slave," which puts the Queen back in Ellery Queen. And the sex, too.

The remaining stories are solid fantasy reads, with particular imaginative plots in "Surviving Master's Hell" and "Black Cross New Mexico" being the strongest. Bushy faced leathermen doing dirty things to each other lurk all through "The Sex Club Murders and Other Kinky Tales." This is good, highly recommended bed-stand reading.

Starbucks told me so . . .

Part of my daily routine is to walk the dogs over to Starbuck's for my morning jolt of caffeine. Yesterday's outing was unremarkable - I exchanged pleasantries with the head barister who has my "usual" ready before I ask, scoped out the new latin boy working the register and waited while some lovely lady held up the line for cream and stuff by chatting loudly into her cell phone. It was 7:45, and she stood between me and the pound of sugar and cream I need to make coffee.

A very dangerous place to be, indeed . . .

But today, the world had changed. My Starbucks was red. No, I mean really red!!

Apparently, the holidays had landed last night: The baristers sported new red t-shirts, the wreaths on the door were red (uh, it's not even Thanksgiving), carols played on the muzak and the impulse items overflowed the countertops. The holidays have entered the building!

Guess, this is my not so subtle way of reminding you the holidays are around the corner. Don't just take my word for it, just ask your local barister!
