Castro Street 2007

There is a light breeze in the air, the sun is shinig and the bears have come out to play. The Castro Street Fair is one of the last street fairs in SF, but one of my favorites.
"Not too hot, not too cold, not quite the mayhem of Folsom - it's just right," said Goldilocks . . .
It's the kind of fair where you run into old friends, make a few new ones and tease the Bears working BOSF's Beer Station.
Castro Street was named for José Castro (1808-1860), a leader of Mexican opposition to U.S. rule in California in the 19th century.
One prominent landmark is the Castro Theatre, built in 1922 and one of the few movie palaces from that era still in operation. The theatre is home to such events as Frameline, Midninght Movie Bear Madness and more . . .
